Ureteroscopy stands out as the preferred method for the treatment of small and medium-sized kidney stones in the urinary tract. Ureteroscopy is performed for the diagnosis and treatment of strictures, stones, and tumors in the tube called the ureter. In stone treatment, stone-crushing and grasping instruments pass through the device, while in stricture treatment, balloons and instruments used for dilation pass through the device. Additionally, in tumor treatment, biopsy and cleaning instruments pass through the device, and different energy methods are available for each method.
